About our accessories
Small pieces, specific jobs
Accessories are where most baby clothing gets careless, so this is where we pay the closest attention. Hats and bonnets are cut with a soft rolled brim and a chin tie that holds without digging in, sized to actual head measurements rather than guesswork. Scratch mitts have a gentle knitted cuff that stays put through the night without leaving a ring on the wrist. Dribble bibs are backed so damp does not soak through to the layer underneath, and close with a nickel-free snap rather than a hook-and-loop tab that grabs hair and jumper knits in the wash. Socks and booties are ribbed high on the ankle — the single most reliable way to stop them disappearing in the pram.
Fabric and safety details
Everything here is GOTS-certified organic cotton, often blended with a little elastane in socks and cuffs for stretch and recovery, and dyed with low-impact colour tested for harmful substances. There are no beads, no loose pom-poms, no cords longer than a safe length and no small parts that can be worked free — every fastening is stitched down and pull-tested. Seams inside hats and booties are flat and turned away from the skin, since these pieces sit against the most sensitive places on a baby.
Buying, care and gifting
Accessories are the pieces that go missing, so they are sold in a range that makes it easy to keep spares: most parents keep several bibs and two or three pairs of socks in rotation per size. Wash cool at 30°C in a mesh bag to keep pairs together, and dry flat or on low. They also make the easiest small gift — everything ships plastic-free in recycled packaging, and unworn items can be returned within thirty days.
